Inspection and Testing
All electrical installation deteriorate with age and use. They should therefore be inspected and tested at regular intervals to check whether they are in satisfactory condition for continued use. Such safety checks are commonly referred to as periodic inspection and testing.
Once we have completed the inspection and testing, we can issue you an Electrical Condition Report (EICR)
Why I need a Periodic Inspection and Testing?
- We can reveal if your electrical circuits or equipment are overloaded.
- We can find any potential electric shocks risks and fire hazards.
- We can identify any defective electrical work.
- We can highlight any lack of earthing or bonding.
- We can also carry out tests on your existing wiring to ensure it is safe.
Who should carry out the Period Inspection and Testing?
Periodic Inspection and Testing should be carried out only by an electrically competent person, such as a registered electrician. They will check the condition of the electrics against the UK standard for the safety of electrical installations, BS 7671 – Requirements for Electrical Installations (IET Wiring Regulations)
